Following his immensely popular run on Indian television with shows like Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show, comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma is now exploring the OTT realm with a similar concept. Kapil Sharma’s latest venture is titled The Great Indian Kapil Show, set to premiere on March 30th at 8 PM for streaming audiences.
Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover have reconciled and joined forces for a fresh Netflix show. Recently, Kapil unveiled the promo for The Great Indian Kapil Show on social media, sparking excitement among fans for their reunion.
Kapil will be joined by Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, and Rajiv Thakur on the show. Starting from March 30th, the show will be streamed every week. Speaking at the event, Kapil Sharma expressed, “Finding our new home at Netflix has been one of the best things to have happened to us. And like we mentioned previously as well, ‘Bas Ghar Badla Hai, Parivaar Nahi’. We are excited and all geared up to entertain our fans not just in India, but across the globe. Dil thaam ke baithiye, as we present to you, The Great Indian Kapil Show, from 30 March only on Netflix!”
In the beginning of the video, Kapil Sharma contemplates on how to announce the show’s name in a grand way, expressing the need for something remarkable that will catch attention. Archana Puran Singh then proposes an idea, suggesting that the name should be revealed at iconic global landmarks like Time Square, Burj Khalifa, and Big Ben. However, Krushna Abhishek interjects, emphasizing that since it’s an Indian show, the reveal should take place at the Gateway Of India instead.

Rajeev Thakur dampens the excitement by mentioning, “Waha bhi nahi japayenge hum [We won’t be able to go there also].” When asked why, he humorously reveals, “[Sunil] Grover bhai ke ajane se budget kam hogaya hai. [We brought back Sunil Grover. Now, we have no money left].” Just then, Sunil Grover makes his entrance. Amidst suggestions like “skywriting” from Kiku Sharda, Sunil humorously advises against involving a plane, alluding to the reported mid-air altercation between him and Kapil Sharma.
The logline for the new show indicates that it’s a diverse chat show set in the lively atmosphere of an airport, with notable celebrity guests appearing weekly.
