As 2023 nears its end, the smartphone landscape braces for the launch of new devices from OnePlus, Xiaomi, Vivo, and Samsung in January 2024. Samsung is set to unveil its flagship Galaxy S24 series, OnePlus prepares for the release of the OnePlus 12 lineup, Vivo gears up for the launch of the Vivo X100 series, and Xiaomi is scheduled to introduce its Redmi Note 13 series. Detailed information on launch dates, specifications, and prices of these upcoming phones follows.

OnePlus 12 Series

OnePlus is set to unveil the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R in India on January 23, 2024 at 7:30 pm in New Delhi . The anticipated OnePlus 12 5G is expected to showcase a 6.82-inch quad-HD+ LTPO OLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. Confirmed to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, it may offer storage options reaching up to 24GB of RAM and an impressive 1TB of inbuilt storage.

The camera setup for the OnePlus 12 is highly anticipated to integrate Hasselblad technology, comprising a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary lens, a 64MP telephoto camera, and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Additionally, it’s speculated to feature a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies. On the power front, the OnePlus 12 5G is projected to be powered by a 5,400 mAh battery, supporting blazing-fast 100W SuperVOOC charging technology.

Redmi Note 13 Pro Series

Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G will launch in India on January 4, 2024. The Pro model is confirmed to ship with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, while the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra SoC. They will have an IP68-rated build for water and dust resistance.

While Redmi has yet to disclose any details regarding the pricing of the Redmi Note 13 series, recent leaks have provided some hints. The Redmi Note 13 Pro is rumored to be priced at approximately Rs. 40,700, while the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ may carry a price tag of around Rs. 45,000. In India, reports suggest that the Pro variant could be available at Rs. 32,999 for its 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant

Samsung S24 Series

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is anticipated to launch during a Galaxy Unpacked event slated for January 18, 2024. This upcoming lineup, slated to succeed the Galaxy S23 series that debuted in global markets this past February, is expected to feature the base Galaxy S24, alongside the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra models.

According to the leaked specifications sheet, the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and will feature an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The base and Plus models are rumored to have Aluminium Armor 2.0 bodies, while the Ultra variant is expected to sport a Titanium frame. Additionally, all the handsets are anticipated to support 8K video recording quality.

Vivo X100 Series

The Vivo X100 series is on the verge of its launch in India, expected to encompass the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro models. The Vivo X100 series is anticipated to operate on Android 14-based OriginOS 4 and boast a curved 6.78-inch 8 LTPO AMOLED display capable of up to a 120Hz refresh rate. Both models are likely to be driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, coupled with Vivo’s V3 chip.

In terms of cameras, both models of the Vivo X100 series are expected to feature Zeiss-branded triple rear cameras, housing a 50MP primary sensor. The Vivo X100 is anticipated to be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging, while the Pro model might come with a 5,400 mAh battery supporting 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
